With three decades of leadership in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, Ehud Raivitz has built a career on driving innovation, scaling businesses, and forging international partnerships. From leading startup ventures to steering strategic M&A, his expertise spans product development, regulatory strategy, and global commercialization.

With 27 years of management and entrepreneurship experience โ including 25 years leading innovation in the medical device industry โ Tamir Ben David has dedicated his career to advancing healthcare through breakthrough technologies. He has served in leadership roles as CEO, President, GM, Division VP, and VP of Business Development, while also founding five medical device companies and a medical innovation hub spanning neurology, cardiology, femtech, minimally invasive surgery, and orthopedics.
An inventor at heart, Dr. Ben David holds more than 100 patent families covering implantable devices, nerve and tissue stimulation, signal processing, diagnostic algorithms, control systems, and video platforms. He earned his Ph.D. (Cum Laude) in Physics and an MBA from TLV University.
At Cogniguard, Dr. Ben David is both the founder and inventor of the companyโs core technology and IP. Today, he serves as President, supporting the companyโs intellectual property and business strategy while working closely with a passionate, professional team committed to bringing the best solutions to market.
What motivates him now is the opportunity to deliver game-changing solutions for cognitive decline and other clinical challenges by harnessing the natural power of the vagus nerve.

For over two decades, Dr. Adam Broncel has been working at the intersection of neurology and biomedical innovation, turning scientific discoveries into solutions that improve patientsโ lives.
With a medical degree, a Ph.D. in neuromodulation, and international research experience in the USA and Europe, he has dedicated much of his career to exploring the power of vagus nerve stimulation. His research has been published in leading journals (Brain Research, PLOS, Neuroscience) and presented at major neurological congresses, from Helsinki to Amsterdam.
As an entrepreneur, he co-founded Biomed Innovation and Poland Ventures, building ecosystems that help international startups thrive. He has scaled ventures across borders, secured EU grants, and co-invented patents in neuromodulation. He also advises global initiatives and has represented Poland at MIT and other leading U.S. innovation hubs.
At Cogniguard, Dr. Adam Broncel serves as Chief Medical Officer and board member, leading our Polish branch. He designed and oversaw preclinical studies and the very first proof-of-concept trials of the Vguard method โ and is now spearheading upcoming multicenter clinical trials in Europe and the U.S. His role bridges science, clinical development, and investor engagement, all with a single purpose: to bring breakthrough therapies for Alzheimerโs and cognitive decline to patients.
What motivates him most?

One achievement heโs especially proud of:
Leading the first human trials of the Vguard method, witnessing years of research come to life in patients, and seeing early signs of positive impact on memory and cognition.
Outside the lab and boardroom, Dr. Broncel finds balance through sports. He trains intensively in CrossFit and rides over 3,000 km of MTB trails every year, a challenge that keeps him both physically sharp and mentally energized.

Agnieszka Jarecka

With a strong background at the intersection of business, healthcare, and technology, Agnieszka Jarecka brings over a decade of experience in managing complex projects in the life sciences sector. She holds a Masterโs degree in Management and Marketing from the University of ลรณdลบ, and since 2015 has been leading R&D initiatives in innovative neurotechnologies, particularly in the fields of Alzheimerโs disease and epilepsy.
At Cogniguard, Agnieszka serves as Chief Financial Officer, where she is responsible for financial strategy, CE certification, and implementation of the ISO 13485 quality management system โ ensuring that our innovations meet the highest global standards. In the early stages of Cogniguardโs journey, she also acted as Project Manager, building the operational structure and coordinating the companyโs first R&D activities.
Her career highlights include co-founding the EU-MED Summit, a conference dedicated to advancing medical technologies, and successfully securing significant EU funding for innovative medtech projects. Before transitioning fully into life sciences, Agnieszka also worked in the renewable energy sector, where she was involved in wind energy projects with Cerac Group. This multidisciplinary perspective allows her to connect ideas across industries and turn them into impactful innovation in medicine.
What motivates her most is combining purpose with structure: transforming complex medical and regulatory challenges into scalable solutions that have long-term social impact.
Outside of work, Agnieszka finds balance and inspiration in nature. Whether sailing through turquoise Caribbean waters, skiing down snowy slopes, or ice skating with a sense of flow and freedom, she thrives on experiences that combine movement, beauty, and creativity. A lover of visual arts and photography, she enjoys capturing the harmony between science, aesthetics, and emotion.

Magdalena brings over 16 years of experience at the intersection of psychology, psychotherapy, and clinical research. With a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences and a career spanning both hospital care and academic research, she has dedicated her work to understanding and supporting patients with cognitive decline, depression, anxiety, psychosomatic conditions, and memory disorders following strokes, heart disease, or cancer treatment.
At Cogniguard, Magdalena plays a pivotal role as Clinical Trials Coordinator, leading studies in Poland and Israel from start to finish โ designing protocols, recruiting and guiding patients, assessing cognitive function, managing data, and preparing scientific publications and conference presentations. She was deeply involved in the companyโs first clinical trials of its breakthrough vagus nerve stimulation technology and continues to drive new studies that bring us closer to transforming the future of Alzheimerโs therapy.
What she values most is working on innovations that help patients preserve memory and independence โ restoring the role of memory as a bridge between generations.
Her proudest professional milestone has been combining clinical practice with scientific passion: earning her Ph.D., contributing to international research, and helping build methods that may one day change the lives of patients and families affected by Alzheimerโs.
Beyond her professional path, Magdalena is inspired by nature, culture, and creativity. She loves painting, collecting minerals, walking in forests, archery, Slavic mythology, as well as concerts, museums, and even vampire-themed films and series.

๐ฌWith nearly five decades dedicated to neuroscience, Prof. Jan Konopacki has shaped the field of neurobiology and neuropharmacology of brain oscillatory activity. Since earning his Ph.D. in 1981 and full professorship in 1998, he has supervised over 70 MSc theses, 8 PhD theses, and 4 habilitations, authored more than 100 scientific papers (PubMed: Jan Konopacki), and written the widely used academic handbook Physiology of Animals (2016).
For most of his career, Prof. Konopacki has been affiliated with the University of ลรณdลบ, where he also served as Head of the Department of Neurobiology. During his years at the University of Calgary in the late 1980s, he developed a pioneering in vitro technique for inducing and recording EEG theta oscillations in hippocampal slices โ a breakthrough that fundamentally changed how researchers study brain activity in vitro.
At Cogniguard, Prof. Konopacki designed the projectโs preclinical studies on laboratory animals and now serves as a scientific consultant and adviser to Dr. Adam Broncel.
What excites him most is seeing how decades of preclinical neuroscience research can now directly contribute to clinical studies for patients with dementia and Alzheimerโs disease.
His motivation? Curiosity and the belief that science should make a real difference in peopleโs lives.
Outside of research, Prof. Konopacki is known for his easygoing personality, good sense of humor, and a rather unique hobby: collecting antique padlocks and keys. Today, in retirement, he enjoys life close to nature with his wife, while still sharing his expertise to push forward innovations in neuroscience.

With over eight years of experience in the medical device industry, Wojciech brings a unique blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving to every project. A graduate of the Lodz University of Technology, specializing in Biomedical Engineering and electronics, Wojciech has contributed to the development of three medical devices and played a hands-on role in two clinical trials conducted in Poland and Israel.
At Cogniguard, Wojciech Biaลecki works at the intersection of technology, medicine, and patient care โ ensuring every element of a project aligns seamlessly to deliver devices that meet the highest standards. For Wojciech, the mission is clear: to advance humanity and improve quality of life, while embracing the challenge of solving complex, multi-layered problems.
Recognized for an unconventional, out-of-the-box approach, Wojciech is often the go-to person for resolving challenges and easing concerns โ both within the team and in collaboration with partners.
Beyond engineering, Wojciech leads a life as dynamic as their work: from early medieval Slavic historical reenactment (archery, combat, craftsmanship) to 3D printing, cooperative board and video games, and exploring the great outdoors. At Cogniguard, Karolina serves as Clinical Research Assistant, where she supports the planning and execution of clinical studies. She works closely with research teams, medical professionals, and participants to ensure that data is collected with precision and that every stage of the study meets strict regulatory standards.

With many years of experience in both international and local organisations, Joanna Weterle brings unmatched expertise in office management and administrative support for research and development projects. Her background includes coordinating EU-funded initiatives, managing project documentation in line with legal and quality standards, and ensuring smooth collaboration with external institutions.
At Cogniguard, Joanna is the backbone of our daily operations. She oversees office organisation, supports our research and development teams, and manages project documentation with precision and care. Her role also includes assisting the Management Board in day-to-day activities and guiding the company through internal and external audits.

Dr. Ben-Menachem serves as Director of the Epilepsy and Neuropharmacology Clinical Research Program at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the Editor-in-Chief of โActa Neurologica Scandinavica,โ She received the 2017 Lifetime Accelerator Award. The award is distributedย annually by the Epilepsy Foundation and given to people who have shown a lifelong commitment to obtain new treatments for people living with epilepsy

Prof. Michael Davidson
Advisor
Prof. Davidson has published over 350 articles in peer reviewed journals in the area of Psychiatry and of Alzheimerโs disease. Previously he was Department Chairman at the Tel Aviv University and Chief Editor of the European Neuropsy- chopharmacology journal. He is currently Chairman of the department of psychiatry at the Nicosia University medical school, the President of the Alzheimer Center in Israel
